Job Summary and Mission

This job contributes to Starbucks success by leading day-to-day manufacturing, distribution or green coffee operations in the roasting plant. Ensures partner and food safety, efficiency and quality. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Advises supervisor of task completion. Executes routine shift close-out procedures. Serves as a partner resource for problems and issues that arise during assigned shift.
- Audits assigned functional area daily to ensure attainment of product quality, inventory accuracy, and customer service standards.
- Leads and carries out daily manufacturing, distribution or green coffee operations tasks. Ensures team attainment of daily productivity goals.
- Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment. Oversees team execution of master sanitation schedule.
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Provides training and coaching to team members on standard operating procedures and safety procedures and regulations.
- Recommends process improvements. Supports process and business changes.

Summary of Experience

- Manufacturing or distribution environment 4 years
- Using computers or automated distribution or warehouse systems 1 year

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills
- Flexibility to work overtime as required, even on short notice
- Ability to follow verbal direction
- Ability to understand written policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards
- Familiarity with American Institute of Baking (AIB), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards
- Ability to work in accordance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards, policies and guidelines
