UC Davis Health Information Technology (UCDH IT) accomplishes planning and implementation activities to provide computer systems to service the Health System's needs for teaching, clinical excellence, and research. The Client Services Implementations team is responsible for planning, deployment, maintenance, lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and support for client devices. Team also supports the device connectivity to the network, the applications, and the databases as well as locally installed business productivity applications .The department provides technological leadership and support for the cost effective use of computers, software and networking including installation, training, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of client implementations supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing and participating in design, development and overall client services project deployment and support. Under minimal direction, this position will manage small to medium implementation projects and also assist with project tasks like coordination with various teams, documentation, client equipment deployment, testing, validation, and support during go-live. The incumbent shall have technical support experience and will be responsible for supporting the client desktop environment and business applications of Information Technology department. This includes but not limited to, client equipment refreshes, new facilities client infrastructure deployments, strategic planning, assistance with budgeting, assist with moves and additions, technical escalations, project management, technical support, customer and vendor coordination, client systems planning and Implementation, and other special projects and new initiatives as assigned. This position may be required to work outside traditional business hours to meet the critical needs of the project and/or the Information Technology Division.
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in related area and/ or equivalent experience/ training.
-Demonstrated ability to manage projects of diverse scope, size, impact, budget and / or project team size.
-Demonstrated experience with providing technical triage and support for client devices like computers, printers, mobile devices, etc.
-Demonstrated experience in successfully organizing and managing multiple projects, varying workload in a dynamic team environment and coordinate resources in a matrix environment.
-Experience in conducting technical assessments, preparing reports, and recommend results and solutions, concisely and clearly.
-Proven experience working with IT equipment, including but not limited to computers, printers, monitors etc.
-Proven project documentation skills (written) including but not limited to meeting-minutes, assessments, charters, plans, metrics, resource logs, issue logs, status updates and project closing documents.
Preferred Qualifications
-At least four years of experience working in IT / Healthcare.
-At least four years of experience with IT technology in a clinical environment
-Experience managing IT healthcare small to medium projects using sound project management methodologies, principles, and techniques.
-Experience working in an IT healthcare or an IT customer service organization.
-Experience with creating and maintaining technical and support documentation.
Special Requirements
-be able to work extra hours (nights and weekends) if important development or deployment is behind schedule or the correction of problems with operational systems is considered critical.
-Valid California Driver's license.
-Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
-Speak, hear, and see well enough to perform system configurations and telephone consulting.
-Must be available for 24-hour a day on-call rotation.
-This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
