ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MOST IMPORTANT TO GET THE JOB DONE)

As Quality Assurance Supervisor you will lead a team of inspectors working to ensure incoming product shipments meet Carters high standards of quality. Your focus will be training your team to audit product, report quality issues and implement solutions to mitigate problems.

· DC Quality team leadership (70%)
o Leads, trains and supervises staff in correct execution of all audit processes and defect classification procedures
o Build daily and weekly plans, monitor and address team performance and development to meet and exceed all performance and departmental goals.
o Leads the teams performance and results through clear expectations, continuous feedback, support, development and accountabilities.
o Partners with HR and QA manager to formally address performance as necessary
o Build relationships with direct reports, peers and leaders to build partnerships and maximize performance
o Participate in resolving team members concerns in reporting, follow up, investigating and discipline process
o Partner with Order Management and Distribution Center partners on merchandise held for inspection which may impact customer orders.
o Maintain a safe work environment through full participation in all safety related matters
· Product Quality Assurance Inspection and Rework (30%)
o Perform product quality, measurement and/or metal inspections as needed to support operational needs
o Conducts verification checks on accuracy and consistency of all team members performance
o Utilize Carters systems to check and reference product information/specification including Inspectorio, FlexPLM, WMOS, OMNIA, Microstrategy
o Communication daily with QA leadership on inspection plans and results; make decisions and recommendations following department guidelines for out of tolerance results
o Lead the coordination of all matters necessary for shipments to/from rework facility, re-audit and return to inventory for any merchandise sent to external rework vendors; communicating with internal partners and leaders as needed

· Has excellent leadership skills and is an independent worker and decision maker · Must be able to work effectively without having direct in person supervision · Direct supervisor of assigned hourly employees, including time and attendance tracking · Communicate with outside vendors for rework projects as needed · Effective communication and reporting with off-site peers and leadership

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE - ANY DUTIES NOT CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL)
· Participate in Quality Assurance process improvement projects
· Occasionally support DC Operational projects as assigned or at peak times
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR JOB PERFORMANCE)
· Proficient written and verbal communications skills
· Proficient computer and equipment skills
· Skilled at multi-tasking, data entry and the ability to react quickly to frequent priority needs
· Accuracy, attention to detail, analytical skills

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· High School Diploma
· 5 years experience in apparel, production, or distribution setting
· 2 years experience supervising or leading a team
· Experience with Warehouse Management systems (e.g. Manhattan) or Quality Management tools
· Textile, apparel or sewing experience helpful but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Must be able to stand and work for long periods of time
· Must be able to lift cases weighing up to 40 pounds
· Must be able to work consecutive days in a row during critical business times
· Able to work alternate shifts as required
· Comply with Blackout Periods as determined by Management
