About the role

The Head of Transformation and CI will be responsible for the successful design, delivery, adoption, and embedding of transformation across Payment Operations (PO). You will identify opportunities to significantly improve pay-out and associated processes and put processes and resources in place to deliver the transformation and continuous improvement.

Your ability to make an immediate impact is key. You will know what it takes to identify and deliver transformation and continuous improvement across an operational team. With a natural gravitas to engage senior stakeholders, and the empathy to connect with end-users. You’ll be an expert in applying the right methodologies, tools and techniques in an agile, fast-paced environment.

As a member of WorldRemit’s Operations team you will aim high, embrace challenge and always do what’s right; acting with integrity and building trust as you contribute to the company’s technical direction and long term decision making.

Reporting to the Director of Payment Operations , you will:

• Identity and implement people, process, service, and technology transformation and CI to ensure optimum benefits are realised in line with PO and WorldRemit business objectives
• Support the Director of Payment Operations to balance the portfolio of transformation and CI projects to ensure successful and rapid delivery of improvements
• Line manage a team of PM, BA, CI colleagues to deliver a number of key projects
• Build strong relationships across WorldRemit in order to identify changes that will impact PO, developing appropriate strategies to ensure change is successfully implemented
• Build and deliver a governance structure to ensure effective governance of all PO transformation and CI
• Work collaboratively to define the desired ‘to-be’ solution, identifying any associated people, process and changes
• Conduct robust change impact assessments to identify effective change and readiness plans as well as post implementation reviews post delivery
• Define robust readiness and deployment plans, leading readiness activities to maximise the success at launch
• Plan for and measure benefit realisation
• Responsible for a number of change and transformation forums
• Develop a CI methodology that can be used to deliver significant CI benefits across PO and WorldRemit
• Promote and develop positive change management techniques across WorldRemit


What we’re looking for from you

• Proven experience of delivering complex transformational activity in an operational environment
• Adept at applying change management methodologies in both Agile and Waterfall environments
• Confidently conduct change impact assessments, creating change and readiness plans, communications and engagement, adoption, and benefits realisation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence
• Experience leading and developing Project Managers
• High level of numeracy and literacy, with the ability to interpret data to direct change according to agreed objectives
• Advanced user of Google Workspace, Atlassian, and/or Microsoft Office applications
