Essential Functions

• Monitor and provide guidance to production personnel with compliance to GPP and GMP
• Support the Quality Department in implementing SOPs & Quality Management Programs and projects to ensure GPP and GMP compliance under the Cannabis Act/Regulations; work cross-departmentally to implement SOPs (i.e., Operations, Regulatory, Security)
• Review documents and prepare batches for the final release. Work with operations staff to correct documentation or address document deficiencies.
• Perform label review and approval during regular work hours and off-hours as required
• Perform AQL checks and floor inspections as required
• Coordinate and prepare the site for Health Canada and other regulatory inspections
• Ensure that documentation, complaints, deviations, non-conformances, investigations, corrective, and preventative actions and, change control are performed according to quality and regulatory requirements
• Provide insight to improve processes and practices to ensure manufacturing quality is maintained while efficiency is optimized
• Work within PSF’s ERP system to perform material review and batch disposition
• Write standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist with training staff

Your Brand, Your Story

• We already know you love quality assurance, but we want to know more about your strengths. You’re good at the following:
• Technical Diploma, Bachelor of Science, or relevant degree in the biological, food, biochemical or chemical sciences
• Regulatory QA background, familiar with Health Canada’s GPP and GMP
• Working knowledge of the cannabis regulations is a strong asset
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food production or pharmaceutical QA
• Must be able to read and interpret all lab testing results
• Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with others and independently
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Self-initiative and proactive
• Must have the ability to maintain and pass an RCMP criminal record check, and obtain a security clearance.
