The Restaurant Group Plc (TRG) is a significant player in the UK casual dining market, operating over 400 restaurants and pubs which include Frankie and Benny's, Wagamama, Chiquito, and Brunning & Price pubs. We also operate a concession business, which trades in many of the UK airports.

This is an exciting time for TRG - as well as recent changes and innovation to develop our offering and customer experience in our established, iconic brands such as Frankie and Benny's, we are also pursuing other growth opportunities within the dining sector, exploiting online brands, delivery, click and collect and grab and go.

The Role

The business is looking for a Change Programme Lead, primarily based from our London Bridge office. Reporting into the Head of Change and working within the Tech & Change team, you will drive the development and delivery of all business change initiatives.

Your role is to ensure that all change is delivered successfully and is well-received. Projects are effectively planned and land, embed and realise target benefits for the business.

The Change function works closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure effective Project / Programme Governance & Control

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the delivery of a broad range of change initiatives across the TRG business; primarily business projects (often with an IT component) that impact our guests, restaurant operations or back-office systems.
• Lead a team of internal and consultant Project Managers.
• Own resource planning for the change roadmap, scaling the PM team appropriately to ensure capacity to deliver all prioritised initiatives and setting up projects for success.
• Manage the dependencies and prioritisation of the business change programme
• Invest in relationships at all levels to provide the essential platform and permission to get the job done.
• Be a champion for change. Work closely and proactively with internal colleagues from across the business to enable effective implementation of change.
• Communicate frequently (both formally and informally), keeping sponsors and business teams engaged and clear on project statuses, dependencies, and priorities across the portfolio.
• Take hands-on control and intervene as required. Identify potential project and programme risks and anticipated points of resistance, remove obstacles and issues to guarantee successful outcomes, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
• Quantify, track and report project benefit realisation. Hold sponsors and business leads accountable for committed target outcomes.

Required Experience

• Experience as a programme lead, delivering change in a fast-moving environment (ideally multi-brand leisure, hospitality, or retail experience).
• A diverse track record of project delivery - across projects, programmes, and portfolios.
• Previously run projects with significant digital and IT components
• Proven experience in leading and building teams
• Skilled at budget planning and management
• A recognised professional project management qualification
