Role Description
Reporting to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef role is vital in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our property.
This role requires a a can-do attitude, great people skills and the ability to work within a diverse team. Duties will include taking charge of shifts, helping sure the smooth running of the kitchen, and assisting the Head Chef with menu design and execution.
This is a varied role that encompasses all aspects of the kitchen department. So if you are a kitchen wiz who likes working in a dynamic team, have a high level of professionalism and if you are flexible in your working hours, then we have the opportunity for you!
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years experience in a kitchen environment is required, with 1 - 2 years experience in a similar senior kitchen role.
A NZ Certificate (Level 4, or higher qualification) in Cookery (or equivalent qualification), and a Food Handling Certificate are required.
A current First Aid certificate is required.
Above all else, you'll need a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and possess a hands-on approach.
