Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM Security Solutions is hiring for a Security Brand Sales Specialist in the Western region of the US. Cybersecurity software sales experience is essential to success in this role. Most sales are executed through software resellers, thus building collaborative ecosystem relationships is essential for success.

Brand Sales Specialists drives the strategy, sale and closure of deals for select offerings/clients and use cases. As a Brand Sales Specialist you will partner with IBM Technology Specialist and IBM Business partners to achieve account strategy objectives and proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to sell within assigned offering portfolio. You will maintain contemporary technical skills and offering knowledge and leverage marketing and digital sales to drive customer lifetime value.


The position entails working with existing relationships to uncover and close opportunities and creating new ones through networking, social selling, cold calling, campaign follow up, etc. IBM technical and domain specialists within IBM security are part of the extended team and available to help identify, qualify, progress, close, and deploy new business sales for a defined set of accounts.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ensure customer satisfaction through objection handling, issue resolution and competitive threats
• Maintain accurate and complete forecast in CRM tool and collaborate routinely with senior management on key opportunities
• Track customer interactions and territory plan per the business unit format

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• At least 3 years sales experience with a background in security and/or complex software solutions.

• Negotiation Skills And The Ability To Impact Contract Content
• Effective Collaboration With Peers In A Matrix Organization
• Effective With Productivity Tools: Excel, Powerpoint And Word
