Want to do the best work of your life? Playing your part in making a big difference to the environment and communities we serve. Our people make Severn Trent a truly exciting and inclusive place to work – a place where you can be yourself and let your skills shine.

Our purpose is taking care of life’s essentials, but we’re also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project & Change Manager to take a lead role in our Digital Transformation programme within our Retail division.

So, it’s not just an exciting role but an enormously important one too as you will help us:

• Define and lead the implementation of the projects and continuous improvement activities that support Severn Trent’s strategic ambitions and deliver for our customers
• Deliver business change, being accountable for project planning and reporting activities
• Build strong links with business teams, ensuring best practice is developed, shared, implemented and recorded

You will help us in the delivery of assigned projects and work-streams through the appropriate project life cycle.

As we say exciting and important. Does this sound like you? Then read on.

LET’S TELL YOU MORE

Your key accountabilities in helping us on our journey will be:
• To build a compelling case for change, identifying options for delivery, underpinned by robust assumptions which are tested throughout the project lifecycle.
• To actively engage with the Project Sponsor and effectively manage other stakeholders across the business during the course of a project.
• To advise Project Boards, own and resolve issues and recommend corrective action as appropriate so that projects are sustained and implemented, working within the agreed decision making process/ project governance arrangements - reporting progress, risk and issues to programme leadership and senior stakeholders to the defined standard.
• To inspire and manage the work and priorities of the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle, defining appropriate activities to ensure that the project delivers to quality, time and cost criteria.
• To ensure that project and change benefits are correctly identified and monitored, and a framework is in place to drive and deliver sustainable change, ensuring we act with today and the future in mind.
• To support development of the Business Change methodology and template deliverables, working with the Delivery Management Office to ensure that best practice is shared across the organisation.

Still you? Wonderful.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.

We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care... because when you really care, you’ll go above and beyond. When you really care you don’t just talk about it, you do more.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.

And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity; who help us do just that.

We do more, because we care.
