This role sits within LBC Capital, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.

The VIP team Manager's primary focus is the day to day management of a team of analysts focused on the Transportation and Construction business.

Responsibilities :

º Lead a team who will:
o Assists LBC Capital's Account Executives in converting sales opportunities into equipment financing transactions during the credit analysis process
o Perform analysis and make informed decisions and recommendations on equipment finance transactions (borrower, financials, credit bureau, collateral, deal structure)
o Scores transactions and communicates credit decisions directly with Vendors, Brokers or Customers
o Works with the internal teams (Sales, Credit, Legal and Operations) to gain a thorough understanding and coordinate the transactions.
o Prepares, recommends and negotiate pricing structures and coordinates documentation requests
o Provides superior customer service to all parties, internal and external. Ensures compliance to company policies and procedures.
o Participates actively on key initiatives within the group.
o Enters information into various systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

o Evaluate the effectiveness of our processed, communications and make recommendations to ensure the continual improvement of the team.
º Management of team includes: hiring, training and development, coaching, recruitment, performance management
º Act as the key point of escalation
º Provide management reporting on key metrics
º Regularly review policies and procedures for accuracy and compliance
º Assist in day to day department functions to maintain service levels


Qualifications :

º University degree in a relevant field combined with 5 years of experience within an equipment financing and leasing environment.
º Strong people management, customer service, influence and negotiation skills
º Strong communication skills.
º Ability to manage priorities and deliver in a timely manner.
º Ease with numbers and calculations
º Ability to use Excel and Powerpoint to provide and present data through different reporting activities
º Exceptional team player who demonstrates integrity in dealings with all stakeholders
º Bilingual (French/English) preferred
