Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Measurement Engineer for our measurement and calibration services department. In this role you will be mainly responsible for the provision of the highest standards of engineering on flow measurement services to SGS clients within the Middle Eastern specific regions as directed. Work location: Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
Mainly focused on:
Working individually, or as a member of a larger project team, contribute to the delivery of the department’s workload to ensure effective delivery of project activities within agreed timescales and budget and to meet client expectations and maximise revenue.
• Undertake consultancy assignments, mentored and supervised by a more senior consultant where appropriate, and ensure objectives of the assignment are met within agreed timescale and budget to meet client expectations and maximise revenue.
• Undertake site based inspection, verification, and audit work as directed, to fulfill individual project requirements.
• Develop and maintain essential metering and measurement skills through practice, guidance of peers, self-study, and external or on the job training to allow progression to a more senior role within the department.
• Maintain organised and auditable systems of work in line with company QA procedures.
• Liasion with Operational manager with respect to new/additional consultancy project workscopes.
• Have a good knowledge base in flow measurement covering energy within E&P, Refining and chemicals etc.
• Maintain an awareness of market trends so that new business avenues are identified and any new opportunities for services are properly exploited.
Essential Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years experience in O&G Business.
• Degree/ HND in Engineering or related science based subject.
• Multilingual (Fluent in Arabic & English)
• Practical experience in Oil & Gas Industry including exposure to process engineering, measurement, or instrumentation domain.
• Must have knowledge and years of demonstrable experience of flow measurement and allocation principles, equipment, and methodologies.
• Must have knowledge and years of demonstrable practical experience of routine maintenance, calibration, and proving activities.
• Must have understanding and demonstrable experience of developing measurement uncertainty calculations.
Desirable Qualifications
• Knowledge of auditing techniques and procedures.
• EU ETS measurement experience
• D32/D33 Assessors Qualification
