Job Description

The Business Analyst’s role is to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users. This includes strategic planning of project & initiatives, interviewing stakeholders, gathering and compiling user requirements, and working with development teams to understand and implement the technology solutions they need.

The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the business make good technology decisions. The Business Analyst will also be proactive about working with the business functional areas to look for new technologies to optimize business processes. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring Technologies understanding of business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with Enterprise Tech team, Operations, and Finance teams to address cohesive articulation of business goals and processes to ensure effective technology solutions and process improvements.
• Lead the product vision and strategy and translate it into actionable roadmaps, milestones, features and backlog of user stories.
• Write and communicate product requirements effectively to developers, designers, and stakeholders.
• Help develop new products and business cases with measurable outcomes and actionable plans
• Validate accuracy of reporting, analyze data for trends relating to user behaviors, process efficiency, and system usage.
• Balance the priorities of a diverse group of stakeholders, while still delivering high quality products in consistent releases.
• Provide transparency and recommendations on project trade-offs, understanding and coordinating dependencies across multiple teams with competing priorities.
• Facilitate the ideation and development of new features and functionality around our products.

• Translate strategy and product vision into project deliverables with launch targets.
• Proactive interaction with business stakeholders to improve business process, understand pain points and business priorities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, better utilization of resources, product enhancements, improved communications and faster issue resolution
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all functional documentation by constantly communicating with the business
• Stay updated with Application team on new system functionality/releases and guide implementation/training with business and technical teams.
• Research and recommend best industry standards and practices where applicable.
• Develop test strategies and coordinate testing where applicable

Formal Education & Certification

• College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems.
• BA and/or PMP certified (desired)
• Three to five years related work experience.

Knowledge & Experience

• Financials background desired
• ERP system knowledge, CMiC experience desired
• Ability to create and present key requirements for:
o Effective communication with all employee levels and levels of management
o Scope Documents
o Use Cases
o Detailed Specification of Key Business Rules
o Process/Data Diagrams
o Maintain system documentation
o Develop and implement solutions for user requirements
o Provide Specs and Design documentation to the Technical team
• Collaborate and work as a team - motivate small project teams.
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment required
• Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business process and operations. Develops expert understanding of Finance business processes and the cross-module mapping of these to ERP and other applications.


• Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
• Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
• Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Exceptional analytical and statistical skills with the ability to apply them to systems issues and products as required.
• Clear understanding of product management and market placement.
• Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
• Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
• Ability to prioritize work by making informed judgments and to develop solutions for complex problems.

• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles is a plus
• Able to exercise independent judgment and act on it.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
• Strong customer service orientation.
Work location is negotiable, but limited to Europe.
